Much Ado About Nothing

English Extracurricular Field Trip

What:

As part of our English goals for the year, Navarro High schools’ English classes will be holding a field trip to enhance the students' understanding of Shakespeare by watching it on stage, as intended. Please see the details below to know more about the trip to see a production of “Much Ado About Nothing” at the Curtain Theatre in Austin. The trip is open to all students.

When:

The production begins at 8 p.m. on Oct. 16. We’ll load the buses at 5:30 p.m., and return as soon as the play ends. We should arrive back at school around 11 p.m.

Where:

The Curtain Theatre, 7400 Coldwater Canyon Dr. in Austin

Details

  • Admission is $15 per student. Students must pay in advance by cash, check or online through Parent Square. Cash or check may be given to Mrs. Limmer in Room 205 (checks made out to Navarro HS with student's name in the memo line). If you’d like to sponsor an additional student it would be appreciated, please let us know that you are sending extra money!
  • The play is the classical presentation of a Shakespeare comedy. There may be scenes of theatrical violence.
  • Please send students with their own dinner/snacks. There will be light concessions, but audience members may also bring their own food.
