A key component to preparing our students for post-secondary success is through the Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2). This assessment evaluates students' readiness for college-level coursework in Reading Comprehension, Writing, and Mathematics. All students planning to attend a Texas public college or university, whether a two-year, four-year, or technical/vocational institution, are required to have TSIA2 scores.

To support our students, Navarro ISD offers TSIA2 testing opportunities for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. Testing begins in the spring of 10th grade and continues throughout the year for 11th and 12tTh graders. We encourage all students to take advantage of this valuable resource, as achieving passing scores on the relevant sections is essential for enrollment in Dual Credit courses.

Furthermore, we maintain TSIA2 scores for five years, ensuring students have access to them should they decide to pursue higher education after graduation. Navarro ISD provides TSIA2 testing at no cost to our students, and we offer retesting as needed to help students achieve their desired scores. This proactive approach allows students to identify areas for improvement and strengthen their academic skills before entering college.

For any questions or further information regarding the TSIA2, please contact Mrs. Bauer. We are here to support our students in achieving their college and career aspirations
