Dual Credit Information

Navarro ISD, in partnership with Northeast Lakeview College and Palo Alto College, offers a dual credit program that allows eligible sophomores, juniors, and seniors to earn both high school and college credits at the same time. These are rigorous college-level courses, taught either online by Northeast Lakeview faculty or in-person by Northeast Lakeview adjunct faculty.

How It Works

Students in dual credit courses are taught and graded just like college students. Upon successful completion of a course, students immediately receive college credit and will have a college transcript. Most of these courses will transfer to any public Texas college or university if a student earns a 'C' or better.  Students and parents can use the Texas Common Course Numbering System to view the Northeast Lakeview or Palo Alto course equivalent at their Texas college/unviersity of choice.

Course Availability and Eligibility

Dual credit opportunities are available in various formats, including online and traditional classroom settings at Navarro High School. Courses cover core subjects like English, science, social studies, and math, as well as select humanities electives.

Students interested in participating must meet the eligibility and enrollment requirements set by Northeast Lakeview and/or Palo Alto and Navarro High School and complete all application and registration requirements prior to the deadline. Students and parents will be expected to sign a Dual Credit Agreement and complete a Parent/Student Consent Form.

Below you will find a list of  Dual Credit Courses offered for the 2026-27 school year, excluding PTECH Cybersecurity Academy Dual Credit courses. More information about PTECH can be found on the PTECH Academy website.

Students interested in taking a Dual Credit course will need to speak with Ms. Bauer, CCMR/Dual Credit Advisor.
