Military Enlistment and Beyond
While the ASVAB is a required test for military enlistment, and scores are valid for two years, taking the ASVAB places no obligation on students to join the military. Many students take the ASVAB solely for career exploration and have no interest in military occupations.
For juniors and seniors considering military service, their ASVAB scores can be used for enlistment after graduation.
