Hello, my name is Rene Armendariz and I am excited to join Navarro High School and become part of the Panther family. I have been in education for 15 years, with the last 5 years in school administration. My journey in education has been incredibly rewarding, and I am passionate about fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment where both students and staff can grow and succeed.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a teacher, coach, and athletic coordinator—experiences that have significantly shaped my leadership style. Coaching and teaching have taught me the value of teamwork, communication, perseverance, and relationship-building—principles I now carry into my role as a campus leader. One of the greatest joys of my coaching experience was the opportunity to coach all four of my children during their school years.

I’ve been married for 28 years to my wife, Stephanie, who is also a dedicated educator. Together, we share a deep commitment to the power of education and the positive impact it can have on individuals and communities. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing and spending time with our granddaughter.

I’m truly looking forward to working alongside the incredible staff and students at Navarro High School. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to support you however I can.

Welcome to Navarro High School. I am honored to serve the Navarro ISD community in a new capacity as the Secondary Academic Dean. It is a privilege to support our dedicated teachers, hardworking students, and committed families as we continue the tradition of excellence that defines our secondary campuses.

As I transition from my role as an elementary principal, I bring with me a passion for student success and a deep commitment to academic growth at every level. At the junior high and high school level, we have a unique opportunity to help students develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive in college, career, and life beyond graduation. Our mission remains centered on connection, high expectations, and continuous improvement.

Together with our incredible staff, I look forward to partnering with families to support students as they explore advanced academics, career pathways, extracurriculars, and leadership opportunities. Strong communication and collaboration between home and school are essential to student success, and we encourage you to reach out with any questions, ideas, or concerns.

Please stay connected by exploring our campus website, following us on social media, or joining us for the many events and programs throughout the year. I am excited about the journey ahead and the opportunity to work alongside you to help every Panther reach their full potential.

Wishing all of our students and families a successful and memorable 2025–2026 school year!
